Mann Island located in-between Liverpool's (uk) Albert Dock and the Three Graces had a number of warehouses which over the years had many uses. Prior to demolition I got access to record for posterity its last use. The following day it was taken to pieces.

It was an ugly building. However it was part of the docks and as such familiar cradled between the Three Graces and the Albert Dock all part of the Unesco World Heritage site. It was replaced by a modern mixed use building dressed in black.

History of Mann Island >>>>>

You experience the silence and being alone in the building your mind behaves like a detective asking lots of questions. Examining the rejected things and objects makes you imagine stories. Why, keeps coming to mind. Who were the people left in frames once so elevated but now simply discarded like the cheap girlie magazines. Abandoned things - why?

The mind continues to ask questions, so many keys to doors which cannot be opened. Simon Cowell's head abandoned on the floor, all very curious in the mix, all unknown reasons, the mind continues to try and build its own story as the images does not represent the truth. It hints at something, but it is always out of reach, just the other side of reality.
