So much has happened since the advent of the computer regarding publishing, some of these changes are for the better and some not so.

I have published 30 books to date and my first book Liverpool: the first 1000 years in conjunction with Arabella McIntyre-Brown sold over 20,000 copies in 10 days and was a number one seller in Waterstones. The book was even cited in the House of Lords.

My publishing ventures continued with journalist and editor Lew Baxter for over 10 years. Together we published a number of Chinese focused books and worked with HP on a very original project - Urban Reflections.

Whilst many of the books were ideas we came up with likewise people approached us and I had the pleasure of working with Mike McCartney on a number of books including a book for LIVE8.

Many of these books were funded by commercial partnerships and many books I simply helped other people achieve their ambitions.

The process always starts with the idea. Then developing that idea and creating the book. Finally the book is printed either in Barcelona or Italy.

You can find out more by selecting one of the books below or going hear to the Shanachie Publishing website..

I still publish and am happy to talk.
