Urban Reflections

The growth and development of cities and urbanisation is one of the most significant processes in human society during the 20th century - and certainly now the 21st century - with the shift from a mainly rural society to an urbanised one. It has influenced every aspect of our lives. This fascinating book (bi-lingual in English and German) looks at this changing world through the eyes and impressions of photographers (including several Magnum members) journalists and hi-tech specialists from cities spread across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and others from the USA and Asia. The book features a collection of images and short essays by these contributors, to create a fascinating and memorable ‘snapshot’ of different urban landscapes. It is a partnership with Hewlett Packard’s (HP-EMMA) Europe and Africa focused division.
